“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” — Matthew 9:37
Every child deserves a safe, loving home — and every foster and adoptive family deserves to be surrounded by a supportive, faith-filled community.
At Father’s Heart Families, we believe the Body of Christ has everything needed to bring hope, healing, and stability to vulnerable children and families — we just need to come together.
You don’t have to be a foster parent to make a difference. You simply need a willing heart.
Below are several ways you can get involved — whether you’re an individual, family, or church ready to reflect the Father’s heart in action.
1. Join or Start a Care Community
Foster and adoptive families often need more than good intentions — they need consistent, practical help.
When you join or create a Care Community, you’ll become part of a small team (usually 4–6 people) that surrounds one family with ongoing support.
Roles can include:
- Meal Provider – deliver a meal weekly or monthly.
- Childcare Helper – provide trusted, approved respite care or babysitting.
- Encourager – send notes, prayer texts, or small gifts.
- Prayer Partner – commit to praying regularly for the family.
- Practical Helper – run errands, help with housework, or provide transportation.
Even one hour a week can bring life-changing encouragement to a weary family.
Start small. Stay consistent. Love deeply.
2. Become a Church Partner
We believe the Church is God’s plan A for family restoration. If your church has a heart for vulnerable children, we can help you:
- Launch a Foster & Adoption Ministry in your congregation.
- Train volunteers and leaders in trauma-informed, gospel-centered care.
- Build Care Communities around families in your church.
- Host awareness events like Orphan Sunday or Stand Sunday.
Your church can become a hub of hope for families in your community — a place where parents are strengthened, children are loved, and the Gospel is lived out in action.

3. Mentor or Encourage
Mentorship changes lives. Whether it’s a young adult aging out of foster care, a parent navigating trauma, or a child who needs a consistent friend — your presence matters.
You can:
- Volunteer as a family mentor or peer encourager.
- Write cards, send Scripture encouragements, or make care packages.
- Help host family connection nights or parent renewal events.
Your faithfulness can plant seeds of healing that last for generations.
4. Give & Resource
Your generosity fuels the mission of Father’s Heart Families — helping us connect foster and adoptive families with the faith-based support, tools, and mentorship they need to heal and thrive.
When you give, you’re helping sponsor:
- Parent and Church Training — equipping caregivers, leaders, and ministry teams with trauma-informed, gospel-centered tools.
- Faith-Based Mentoring, Coaching, & Counseling — providing families with Christ-centered guidance and emotional support for the journey.
- Family Resources — printed and digital materials that nurture spiritual growth, connection, and resilience.
- Care Packages & Meal Support — tangible reminders of love and community during seasons of transition or challenge.
- Family Events — spaces for encouragement, renewal, and connection among those walking similar paths.
Every gift — large or small — becomes a lifeline of hope, helping families experience the healing power of community and the Father’s love in action.
